The founder of the Rossi woolen mill
The statue is placed on a cylindrical base which finishes with a toothed wheel; everything is part of a group formed by a mother and a child stretching from his womb toward the Senator Rossi to offer him a flower from the last step of the quadrangular plinth.
Close to the Baron, in fierce position of speaker and researcher, there is a table with some books on which he places the left hand, while the right is firm along the side.
Probably the intention was that to represent, through the figure of the mother, the city of Schio that intends so to propose to the future generations the Rossi ideal of life based on the binomial culture-job.
The monument stands in the center of a crossroads particularly busy today.
Curiosity:
One time, in this place there was a bar, which fell in the evening and rose in the morning, that separated the center of Schio from the District Worker.
