The mosl importanl stages of Alessandro Rossi's industriai, town- planning, social and cullural project can be followed by visiting the Francesco Rossi Wool Mill (/8/7, /849 and later) with its annexe Ihe Fabbrica Alla (/862) and the adjacent Jacquard Garden (/859-1878), and then moving on to Ihe New Workers' Neighbourhood lo admire the differenl kinds of dwellings (smoll villas and workers' houses), services (schools, thealre, church etc.) and monuments. On a European level, Ihe mosl emblemalic exomple is the Monument to the Weaver (/879), presently in Piozzo A Rossi, which is lo be moved to a sile near Ihe Fabbrica Alla in Ihe future. Alessandro Rossi's neo-Pompeian Villa wilh ils majestic late-Romanlic Park (1865-/880) and annexed Model Farm (1882-/884) ore siluated in Santorso between the Leogra and Astico Valleys. The roule continues lowards Piovene Rocchelte, where inleresling evidence of Rossi's industriai Village (/869-/882 ca.) remain. Finally we reach the picturesque Summano Brewery (1873), with ils valuable antique copper machinery The Baralloni Pasla Factory (/879), now disused, is worlh a visil before leaving Piovene. Back in Schio, if you wish, we can proceed lo Pievebelvicino where lo observe the remains of the Rossi heavy clolh processing Complex (1870-73) and Ihe Workers' Neighbourhood. Finally we reach Torrebelvicino where we can fin d, even though their use has been changed, Ihe monumenlal Rossi Works (1873) and Ihe small Workers' Neighbourhood.
